Avocados

I LOVE avocados!

Besides the fact that they are a perfect anti-inflammatory, cancer fighting, and anti-aging super food...they are ridiculously tasty and loaded with healthy fats! 

Did you know you could blend some avocado in with your shakeology or protein shake to make it super creamy and yummy? 

They make everything better- add avocado (or guacamole) to sandwiches, salads, omeletes...

Mmm 


Don't know how to pick ripe avocados?Color can vary...but typically ripe, ready to eat avocados will have a darker color. It's best to pick them based on pressure. Ripe fruit will yield to firm gentle pressure. It will feel lightly soft but it won't be "mushy" to the touch. Ripe fruit is perfect for that day. Store in the refrigerator if you plan to eat it in a day or two to prevent the fruit from becoming overripe or spoiled.

If the avocado is firm, it will be ripe & ready to eat in a few days!

6 Tips on Taking Great Progress pictures!

One thing that has realllyy helped me stay accountable to my goals is taking weekly progress pics! Just knowing I have to get into my bikini every Sunday is enough to keep me away from the ice cream
But not all progress pics are created equal

If you really want to showcase your results (even if it's just for your own reference), follow these 6 tips!

1) Chose a simple background where YOU are the focus
2) You should be well lit- try to take high quality pictures
3) Take multiple pictures of your front, back & side. (Arms relaxed & arms flexed)
4) Stay consistent- wear the same outfit each week!
5) Use a spouse, roommate, friend to take pics. If you're flying solo...DL a timer app for your phone. I've set mine on bookcases- it's perfect because you know you'll get the same angle each week. Get creative!
6) Don't chop off your head! Did you know...you can win $$$ for your transformation with Beachbody workouts?

Three & a half years ago, I signed up with a little fitness & health company called Beachbody…even though I had no idea what I was doing (and didn’t make a sale for 2 months!! haha) I KNEW it was going to completely change my life.

I used to struggle to pay the mortgage on my $100k house….stress about the bills...wait until the last day to pay them before I got a late fee. I used to work crazy hours, miss out of family gatherings & holidays and to top it off...I wasn't happy with my job, my weight OR my relationships.

Little did I know...3 years later...I would have total freedom! I live my life by design! I make my own schedule, I spend ALL day with my family, met my fiancĂ© through Beachbody, all of my bills are on autopay (that was huge for my btw!), we get to travel wherever whenever...we're so blessed to have the freedom to move/live anywhere. I still have to pinch myself...but we’re moving into a 1.3M house in July near our friends in Florida!

New Beachbody Coach Mentor Group

Wow guys..this month has been blessing after blessing From being able to leisurely travel to Florida for two week....to finding our DREAM HOME...
I almost feel it is my responsibility to SHARE the opportunity that has allowed me FINANCIAL FREEDOM, ownership over my future, the courage to start dreaming again & the sisterhood that has made me more loving, positive, courageous, fun & determined!

Positive Mindset

Be a RIVER not a RESERVOIR.

Adding to yourself = Being a Reservoir
Making personal growth a part of your life to add to YOURSELF is being a reservoir. Reservoirs continually take in water but only to fill themselves.

Adding value to others = Being a River
A river FLOWS!! Whatever water it receives, it gives away.
That’s what we should be as we learn & grow. It requires an abundance mind-set – a BELIEF that we’ll keep receiving.
Your progress in personal growth gives you so much opportunity to contribute to others. Growing yourself enables you to grow others.
Work harder on yourself than you do on your job.

5 Tips to Build Your Network! 
A few years ago...I did not have a lot of quality friendships. Drama, cattiness, jealousy, negativity...YUCK
As we get older, it's hard to make friends outside of the people we work with lol
Luckily I fell into Beachbody & discovered a world where people not only support one another, but that LIFT each other HIGHER.
Surround yourself with people who want to see your succeed, who support your dreams & are there to remind you that failures bring you closer to success.
“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” so chose wisely
Whether you just want to make new friends OR you want to build your network for your business...read on! 


  1. Get Involved & Join the Fun!
    Find some clubs, groups, communities to join with people who share common interests with you!
    Surround yourself with like-minded people. (Examples: Rowing Club, Gardening, cooking, book club, mommy club, fitness club, etc..) I've met tons of amazing people when I've taken my dog to puppy school! Volunteering in your community is another way to meet the most incredible people!
    Note: To make friends, take an interest in others. Don't make it the "me" show...ask questions & find out more about them.
  2. Build Relationships!
    People help & do business with people they know, like and trust! Don't have the "what can I get out of this attitude" Instead, think about how you can help them. To have good friends, you have to BE a good friend.
  3. "Student First, Teacher Second, Servant Always"
    This is one of my favorite quotes from Brendan Burchard & it applies whether you are learning a new skills...or just trying to be a better friend.

    If you want to excel at something (relationships, business, piano...whatever), you need to practice humility & always have a willingness to learn. Be a student of life! Ditch the ego- you can't learn & grow if you think you know it all or if you think you're the best thing to ever happen LOL If you know someone who is a great conversationalist, ask them what they do! If you know a great gift-giver...ask for their advice!
    The most successful people & the people with the best relationships are always willing to learn and then share that information with others. Don't hoard information- be willing to teach!
    The day you stop learning...is the day you stop growing & thriving. Become a‘servant-driven leader’ and think, ‘How can I help others?’ (Notice a theme? :P)
  4. Quality Over Quantity.
    Instead of focusing on how many friends you can add....focus on building quality relationships!
    There is nothing quite like the personal touch. The greatest gift you can give someone is some of your time! I love getting on Skype calls with friends or sending them an audio message on Facebook (if you don't know about this...prepare yourself! On your phone, go to Facebook Messages. Click the paperclip to add attachment & then click the microphone button to record a quick message for them. It's more personal than text & it's quicker!)
  5. Have fun with it! Don't make this a chore, instead use it as an opportunity to open your life up with incredible people and experiences. One of the best things I've ever done was make a decision to start saying "yes" more.
    When someone invites you to something...stop making up excuses for why you can't...and JUST GO! I promise you, you will thank yourself! (For inspiration, watch "Yes Man" with Jim Carrey lol)
