How important is Diet when doing P90X or Insanity?

I am sure that a lot of you, just like me, discoveredInsanity and P90Xthrough and infomercial, a friend, of even from me! You hear how extreme these programs are and also how amazing the transformation results are of those are that actually complete the programs. I am sure you might have even searched on You Tube plenty of times to see if these workouts were the real deal, and you have probably seen so many real people getting real results! I know what you are thinking. “If they can do it, I can too! Right?!”

So now after you buy Insanity or P90X you expect results! Well I promise you that if you follow the rules of fitness you will not be disappointed! What are the rules you ask? Simple.

Ask yourself this. Everyone has broken a rule without anyone noticing, right? Well, unfortunately the rules a fitness are a little different. Not only does everyone notice when you are following the rules, but it’s even more obvious when you aren’t! You may try and hide the evidence but your body doesn’t lie!

If you are not following the Workout Guide AND a Good Diet, then don’t expect to see great results! It is as simple as that. Skipping workouts and not eating clean are NOT going to get you the results you crave. So many people ask, what if I do the workouts and don’t follow the Meal Plan 100%, will I still get results? NO. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

What some people don’t realize is that even if you workout to your max everyday, it is not enough.

I cannot repeat this enough: YOU CANNOT WORKOUT A BAD DIET! Period. Without good nutrition, all the hard work and sweat you put into your workouts will go unnoticed! I mean it boils down to what you want more: ice cream, soda, burger, pizza, fried chicken OR an amazing RIPPED body that other people admire and the feeling of being healthy. I’d take the second option. Remember you only enjoy food for no more than 15 min, while you are eating. Is it really worth it?!

A lot of people say, “But I’m eating better than I was before”. I hear this a lot. You may be eating better than before, but obviously there is room for improvement. You don’t need to have those fries or that soda or that extra salad dressing. If you don’t cut out the junk, you are wasting your time. It’s up to you. Do you realize it could take 4 days to work off 1 ”bad” meal?

Diet is 80% of a workout routine! Believe it or not.

If you’re in this for real, you should be mindful of what goes in your mouth. How bad do you want your results? Enough to commit yourself to a Workout Program for 2 or 3 months and enough to commit yourself 100% to the Meal Plan?

If you have been doing P90X or Insanity and are not seeing the results you expected, you are breaking the rules and you know it!

The rules are simple, eat clean and workout hard everyday! If you are expecting extreme results fast, you have to be extreme! If you are performing half way, don’t expect more than half the results!

The 724 Fit Club is taking Mars by storm!

  Melanie began the 724 Fit Club because she wanted to get people together to share advice and ideas on fitness and nutrition.  She also had gained so much knowledge from her experience with Insanity and P90X that she HAD to share it with others.  Seriously, if there is a fitness program out there that can change your life wouldn't you want someone to share it with you?  The main reason for the 724 Fit Club is to bring people together who all want to lose weight, get in shape, and/or lead a healthy lifestyle.  This group's focus is to motivate people to exercise and make healthy choices and to keep you accountable to your health and fitness goals each week. 
Why should you come to fit club?  Even if you already workout at the gym or go to an exercise class this is another great way to keep you moving during the week.  I bet your exercise class doesn't give you nutritional advice along with a high energy workout program with motivated people in the room with you.  Everyone has a smile on their faces and is happy to be there.  We share nutritional advice with each other before the workouts and post workout we talk about what we've been doing to stay on track with our fitness goals.  You also get to try some amazing products that Beachbody creates such as Shakeology and Results and Recovery Drink. 
Who should come to fit club?  ANYONE!  I mean ANYONE!  You can be a beginner who has never worked out before or a marathon runner who is fit as a fiddle!  Each week we will provide you with a different workout to get your heart rate up and burn some calories.  Each week modifications are shown for those that have restrictions on certain moves and exercises. 

Last week Nikki shared her transformation with P90X with us and the struggles she had getting to the point where she is today.  It is so nice to hear that other people struggle with their weight loss and eating healthy. It really makes you feel like pushing forward because you know that real people have achieved real results.  We were able to hold 2 workouts that evening.  Upstairs was KenpoX from P90X and downstairs was TurboFire!  Everyone had a great time and we were a sweaty mess afterwards!  I also launched the Fit Club Challenge which will kick off next week!  This challenge will be with all the members of fit club and is completely optionalTuesday we will open the doors at 6:30pm to begin weigh ins and pictures.  Each individual is required to complete their fitness goals and "why" and bring to class.  The challenge will run until December 20th at that time we will take after pictures and measurements and award the biggest transformation a prize!  Each month we will take updated pictures and measurements.  We want to keep people motivated to work out the other 6 days that they are not at fit club!  I'm so excited to see how this works out!
 
Next week we will be working out to the Brazil Butt Lift series.  This workout is made to get your hips, thighs and butt in shape!  So come ready to work your "boom boom"! 

The sense of community is amazing and I love standing back and watching people talk about health and fitness with eachother.  We are all learning so much and I can't wait to see what this journey has in store for everyone involved.

Insanity Fit Test!

HOLY MOLY!!! Ok, I completely the Insanity Fit Test and I gotta say...wow I was not prepared at all! Last week I was actually rear-ended while driving and thankfully while I can say that I wasn't hurt....my car wasn't as fortunate. I think it's safe to say that car was cursed and is now on it's way to a "better place." It's going to a farm with lots of land to run around and have all of the car fun it wants to. In the meantime, I was using my temporary back pain as an excuse to take a break from my workouts.  Ok, I was getting lazy. It had been about a week and I only worked out once... I was starting to get lazy and frankly, my mood was suffering. I'm SOOOO happy to say I jumped back on the horse today because even thought that workout was crazy hard...I feel AWESOME and ready to conquer anything :) It's funny what a workout can do for your mood and energy!!


So if you are procrastinating or putting off your workout....JUST GO DO IT!!! Trust me, you'll feel like million bucks! Go!! Right now!!






PS this might be dorky...but Im watching American Idol and getting emotional! I think I love Scotty! He is just too sweet!
