Chocolate strawberry cheesecake SHAKE!

I had this shake this morning and it was fantastic! It tasted like eating chocolate cheesecake with strawberries on top. The healthiest thing I put in my body all day and the most delicious....
Blend:
1 scoop of Chocolate Shakeology
4 strawberries
1/4 Cup Nonfat Ricotta Cheese
1/4 Cup Non Fat Plain Yogurt (I used greek)
Ice to taste (I use 8-10 ice cubes)
4 ounces water

I saw this on Chloe Gibbs blog today and it looks absolutely ammmaaazzzzing!! I cant wait to try it! 

I watched this video last night and this girl's story sounds exactly like mine. It just reminded me why I signed up to be a coach and help people- friends, FAMILY, and strangers (who I have come to realize are just friends I haven't met yet).

Get out there and Learn!

I've been doing A LOT of thinking since I got back from Summit...and it really has my imagination on overdrive! Jusdt to give you a glimspe into my head- here are my notes regarding my top take-aways from Beachbbody Summit 2011.

#1 Team Bonding!
Spending a week with everyone, I really got to learn everyone’s style & how they process the information. We were able to all talk, brainstorm and give input. It really made me think about my PS sponsored coaches and how they interpret information based on their learning style.
I want to help my coaches learn in the way that suits them BEST and put my Aces in their places- help them find their niche! And the identify the best way to build their business based on their personal style.
See where they SHINE and help them develop their best talents as well as their weaknesses.

#2 Time to get uncomfortable!
Test your limits. Push your boundaries. Dare to be great. How do you get past that sick butterflies in your stomach/about to pass out feeling??? PRACTICE!!!
Take public speaking classes. Hold Shake N’ Share parties until you are the absolute expert at hosting them! Talk in front of as many groups of people as you can! Eeek! I know! lol


#3 Stalk your Mentors
Learn from the successful. There is nothing quite like being in the presence of your mentors and leaders. Study how they act, dress, speak, and conduct their business. Visualize their success and how it feels. Engage your imagination.
Spending time with people like Carl D, Chalene, Shaun T, etc… stimulates your drive, ambition, excitement and desire to achieve greatness. I KNOW that their energy rubbed off on the team and everyone at Summit- you could FEEL it! Successful people exude confidence & it’s contagious!
If you get to spend time with your mentor, TAKE NOTES and ASK QUESTIONS!! If you are interested in them and tell them how much you look up to them, they will be flattered to share their story, experience, and secrets to success with you!
Did you have a homework assignment in school to write about your future career? And you had to interview someone about their job? Why can’t you do that now???
Think bigger than Beachbody- find people you can network with in other fields and use their insight to grow your skill set and business. For example: Real Estate agents must be MASTERS at marketing themselves, following up with clients, and keeping an extensive customer database! Or Interior designer- they have to meet the needs of the client even if the client’s tastes are completely different from their own. How do they effectively communicate and ask questions to end up with the desired result? Find successful people in your life or reach out to people and let them know you think they are doing an amazing job, you look up to them for _____, and you would like to get their feedback. Their opinion, ideas and experience are valuable to you and you would like to pick their brain.
What do they do right? What do they wish that they had done differently?


#4 Visualization
Where do you SEE yourself in the future? Sit down and write a list of your goals. Make them specific! Review it each day and think about it as though you have already achieved it. Visualize what it looks like, feels like, how it makes you feel and when you will achieve it by.
To create a balanced/successful life, you should create goals for: work and career, finances, recreation, health/fitness, relationships, personal goals, and contribution to the community.
State your intention. Let people in on your dreams and goals….and you will start to find people who help you achieve them. How are people going to help you if they don’t know what your goals are?
Example: Nikki wants to make BB a Full-Time job. She is FIRED up about it and has made that clear by her commitment. I am going to do EVERYTHING I can to help her reach her goals! Diamond by August!!!
DREAM BIG. Shaun T said he wants to be the face of fitness, the next Richard Simmons!
Homework: Make your Bucket List- what are 100 things you want  to do or achieve in life?

#5 People FIRST!
Relationships are 100% and 0%. You have to take responsibility! When you help people get what they want, they will help you get what you want.
Think about your clients. Step inside their shoes. Read your emails as though you are a newcomer & don’t know anything about Beachbody. Are you looking out for their best interest? Are you recommending what is best for THEM? How would YOU feel if you were your client? Be the coach you would want to have.
Check your intentions! People are very perceptive! I personally am re-writing my scripts to be more focused on the customer and pulling out more information FROM them ABOUT them- then I can respond with an answer that TRULY suits their needs.


#6 Treat your business like a Million Dollar Business
Write yourself a check for how much you think you are worth. Are you putting in that caliber of work? If you were the owner of your own business (guess what?! You are!), how much would you pay yourself?
Write yourself a check for the amount of money you would like to make, and then act accordingly! Hang that check where you can see it everyday to remind yourself!

How to Pick the Right workout program

If you are anything like me, I pore over all of my decisions. I weigh the pros and cons, make lists, debate the possible outcomes, and ask everyone I know what their opinion is...only to make a last minute impulse decision lol

Just Say NO To These Diet Killers For A Total Transformation

You want to make sure you are eating all the right things and avoiding the wrong ones. Unfortunately, proper nutrition can be complicated and frustrating, and it might even result in you giving up. But when it comes to your diet, adhering to Nancy Reagan's "Just Say No" mentality is the way to go.

Diet isn't as simple as ABC, but it also isn't rocket science. Just the same, you can ensure the best line of diet defense by executing a no-tolerance policy in these key areas in your diet. This simple guide can help you achieve a better understanding of what you should keep out of your nutrition plan to get that lean and muscular physique you've been working so hard to get.

You Booze, You Lose

Sorry, Charlie. There's no place for it - not at work, not at home, not out on the town, and definitely not secretly mixed into a Nalgene concoction stuffed in your bag. Alcohol is a huge social pressure, which is why most people try to allow having one or two drinks a week. So let's get it out of the way right now. There are two reasons why alcohol should be avoided at all costs.
First off, alcohol is nothing but empty calories. Secondly, it's normally consumed at night (the worst time to take in nasty calories), which means you'll be adding some fat to your total storage if you go out and have a few with your friends.
If you absolutely have to go out, do your friends a solid and be the designated driver. However, it's much easier if you don't go out at all and keep alcohol out of the house - out of sight out of mind! And even though you can't have any drinks now, you can always celebrate with some after your transformation is done, and they'll taste that much better!
 Be Done With Dairy
Yes, there are great minerals and vitamins in dairy products too, but once again, the unnecessary calories and sugars won't help you on your diet. Even yogurts that are high in protein still carry some negative baggage, so no dairy!
There are only a couple exceptions to this rule: cottage cheese and whey protein. Cottage cheese is high in the slow-absorbing protein called casein, so it works wells before bed. Whey protein (derived from milk) is very lean protein that doesn't come with all the extra fat, making it the perfect shake option for anytime of the day.

Stay Off The Sauces


I really wish sauces were allowed, honestly. But they have a tremendous diet cost if you use them, and using sauces could mean the difference between lean and cut and a giant gut. Sauces include ketchup, mustard, salad dressings, barbecue sauce, and any other type of viscous and tasty diet killer that you would use to gussy up your food.
If you want to add some flavor to your meals without sacrificing the health aspect, then just use some spices. They pack some serious flavor without all the extra crap, and there are a lot to choose from.
Dressings and sauces have tons of calories and sugars, which will just result in more calories that you have to burn, so don't shoot yourself in the foot. Don't fall for "fat-free" sauces, either, because they contain more calories than the regular versions by substituting fat with loads of carbohydrates.

No Meal Hooky


This is an absolute no-no. A lot of people struggle mentally with eating frequently because they think they're taking in more food than they should. But even skipping one meal can throw your diet off, so even when you're not hungry, you need to eat. Your body must be constantly fed to keep its metabolism at an elevated rate.
If you skip a meal and wait until you're hungry, you're likely to eat more than you should later, which will result in more fat storage. Plus, eating big meals can make you tired and lethargic. Eating smaller meals more frequently (at least every 3 hours) ensures that your body uses all the calories you get and keeps your energy levels up.

The Bottom Line


Now, these rules are obviously easier said than done, but the key to success is thinking LONG TERM. Having a beer, cheat meal, or sugary fruit will provide short-term satisfaction, but will ultimately lead to you to fail the most important goal of all - your diet. You have to make your diet the highest priority, and proper diets take time to see results.
Just tell yourself that you're in it for the long haul, and you're going to avoid all the speed bumps. How much more satisfied will you be, knowing that you dedicated yourself, sacrificed, and now have a lean-and-cut body to show off? Sure, you're going to be surrounded by all these temptations during your diet, but hey, all you have to do is say, "No" - it's that simple. And once you look in the mirror at the end of your diet, you'll finally get to say, "Yes!"

Grilled Zucchini & Goat Cheese Rollatini with Raisins & Pistachios



Time to step out of my cooking comfort zone! Dare I make these for the party on Friday??
INGREDIENTS:

•1/2 cup unsweetened raisins
•6 medium to large zucchini, sliced 1/4 inch thick lengthwise (2 lb)
•Olive oil cooking spray
•8 oz goat cheese, softened
•1/2 cup shelled, toasted, unsalted pistachios, roughly chopped
•1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
•2 tsp lemon zest
•1 tbsp finely chopped fresh mint
•Fresh ground black pepper, to taste


INSTRUCTIONS:


1.In a small bowl, add raisins and cover with warm water. Set aside.


2.Preheat grill to medium. Working in batches, lightly mist both sides of zucchini slices with cooking spray. Grill for about 3 minutes per side, until softened and lightly charred. Remove and let cool.


3.Drain raisins and roughly chop. Add raisins to a medium bowl with goat cheese, pistachios, lemon juice and zest and mint. Stir and season with pepper.


4.Place 1 slice zucchini on a work surface. Spread 1 tsp goat cheese mixture onto zucchini, then roll up securely. Transfer to a serving platter, standing up or seam side down (they will stay closed on their own). Repeat with remaining zucchini and goat cheese mixture. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Do not chill for more than a couple of hours.

What is it about working out that is so hard to do? You know you should do it, you know you will feel better after...but jeez, sometimes it's just so hard to get the motivation to actually do it.
